Shimina Harris, MS, PHR joined Safe & Sound in 2019 as the Talent & HR Manager. She is a former educator turned HR/Talent professional. After spending 15 years in higher education, she transitioned to the nonprofit sector to pursue a career in Human Resources and Talent Management. While in education, her roles included HR Specialist, Assistant Dean of Student Conduct, and Associate Dean of Student Support. Shimina describes herself as a relational leader with a passion for coaching and human development.
When Shimina is away from the important work of developing human capital, she spends her time running through the many parks in the Bay Area, walking her family dog (Magdalena), listening to and creating podcast content, or spending time with family in both Northern and Southern California.
