Chief Finance and Operations Officer
Ed has over 25 years of nonprofit operations experience, having worked with worked with a variety of organizations including Techbridge Girls, CoCoKids, Californians for Justice, the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, Public Advocates Inc., Greenbelt Alliance, and the Tides Foundation. In 2003, Ed worked with Kaiser Permanente, SEIU, David Axelrod, and others, to serve as statewide coordinator of the successful No on Proposition 54 campaign, defeating a California initiative that would have banned state and local government from collecting or using information related to race and ethnicity. He has also served on the board of the Common Counsel Foundation, Korean Community Center of the East Bay, Alliance for Climate Education, and his children’s school PTA. Formerly an Emergency Medical Technician, Ed holds an M.A. in Physiology from Boston University and B.A. in Psychology from Oberlin College. Ed lives in Oakland with his wife, son, daughter, and cat.
